Wed, Sept. 12

Jessica Noll, VTM host, will interview Mary Murphy with Wandering Cow Farm in the studio. She will be showing off a demo while talking about her experience in MakerFest.

She will teach Jessica how to make felted soap using soap Mary makes from natural ingredients on the farm and goat’s milk, wool from her sheep and water. This will be Mary’s hands-on activity at her booth during MakerFest.

Wed., Sept. 26

Jessica will interview Bert Green with SolarMill outside behind the studio. He will have his souped-up golf cart with solar panels on the top powering his CNC router and 3D printer. He’ll be demonstrating each of them demonstrating that all of his products are made with sunshine (100% off the grid!)  If you think the panels on the golf cart are cool, imagine how big they are on his studio roof to power all of his machines!

In his shop he makes teak cutting boards with laser etched skylines of Richmond and other designs on his 8′ x 4′ CNC router. He combines robotics with sustainability while making local products that customers love.
